Looking Back at Ayrton Senna's Career - The Cars (Part 4)

In the final part of my tribute to the cars Ayrton Senna drove in is F1 Career, we lastly look at his very short career with Williams, before his untimely death at the notorious San Marino circuit.

WILLIAMS (1994)

1994 - Williams FW16

1994 - Williams FW16

1994 season - Not Classified / 0 wins / 0 points

From the start of the 1994 season, Ayrton found it difficult to adjust to the new car, as all the electronic aids, such as traction control and active suspension were banned by the FIA, after the 1993 season.

In 1994, Adrian Newey, then at Williams, and his team of engineers had great difficulty getting the car to work for Ayrton, even though he put the car on pole position for the San Marino Grand Prix.

To me it just shows the character of the man and racing legend that Ayrton Senna still is today, to work through any difficulty he may have faced with the new car and still drive it like he did.

Unfortunately, Ayrton simply ran out of road and raced towards his untimely death at San Marino

If you're a huge Senna fan like I am and you haven't watched the Ayrton Senna Documentary, please take the time and watch it.
