One such announcement, came yesterday from the Red Bull camp, from Daniel Ricciardo, whom many have suspected was looking to remain with the team for 2019.

It came as quite a surprise and a shock to many, including Christian Horner himself, that Daniel Ricciardo was in fact resigning from Red Bull, a team with whom he was affiliated with since 2008.

But what came afterwards, is even more surprising; Ricciardo confirmed that he will be joining Renault from 2019, to partner Nico Hulkenberg.

I suspect that he is not in favor with the new Honda engines that wwill be supplied to Red Bull from 2019.

So, this is all good for Renault, but now what happens to Carlos Sainz Jr.? Was he not originally loaned out to Renault by Red Bull, with an option to return to Red Bull in the future?
Yes, he was. Rumors have been doing the rounds that Red Bull would probably favor Pierre Gasly, currently with sister team, Toro Rosso, seeing as he has he will have a full season's experience with the new Honda engine, before Red Bull makes the switch to Honda power for 2019.

So, there looks to be quite a few driver line-up changes for 2019, with a lot of rumors and speculations doing the rounds of how that will turn out when the current 2018 season wraps up in Abu Dhabi. Only time will tell.
